"This is one of the most challenging road sections in the Fergana Valley," Makhkamov stated during the interview.
According to the reconstruction plan, the section will be expanded into a four-lane concrete highway, with the simultaneous construction of 34 bridges and 22 pedestrian crossings.
Implemented under the F+EPC (Financing, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model, the project is expected to quadruple the road's capacity upon completion.
Local administration pointed out that the implementation of the project will greatly reduce the incidence of traffic accidents on the section and is of great significance for strengthening regional connectivity and promoting local economic and social development.
