“Relations between Russia and Uzbekistan are steadily progressing along the path of strategic partnership and alliance, reflecting stable positive dynamics in trade, economic and investment areas. The high level of mutual trust and practical cooperation enables us to anticipate achieving the goal set by our countries’ leadership of increasing bilateral trade to USD 30 billion by 2030, through the expansion of industrial cooperation, the implementation of joint investment projects, and active business dialogue,” highlighted Anton Kobyakov.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, in turn, confirmed the country’s commitment to further advancing bilateral ties and to actively engaging in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“Uzbekistan places high priority on fostering multifaceted cooperation with the Russian Federation. We consider the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to be a valuable international venue for promoting joint initiatives, strengthening contacts between business communities, and developing new areas of partnership,” noted Botirzhon Asadov.
It was highlighted during the meeting that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum serves as an effective working platform for fostering long-term partnerships, showcasing investment projects, signing bilateral agreements, and facilitating direct dialogue among government authorities, business representatives, and experts.
The parties discussed Uzbekistan’s prospects for participation in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026, including the development of business and cultural programmes, the use of opportunities offered by the Roscongress International Cooperation Area, and the organization of joint events and agreement signings on the Forum’s sidelines.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in sustaining constructive dialogue and practical cooperation to further strengthen Russian-Uzbek relations.
